Hello! Thank you for stopping by!
My name is Meg & I am beginning this blog because of a passion for healthy living (cooking, fitness, etc.). I am always trying new recipes & wanted a place to share them (either found from or modified from another website, or of my own).

My journey of a 60 pound weight loss, Team In Training and support of family & friends have also inspired this blog. I always loved eating healthy (even when I was heavier), but as I started changing my focus of eating & I noticed I felt more energetic & mentally clear, I decided to make those changed permanent (not to mention the pounds coming off).

On the left, you'll see a photo of me from Christmas of 2008. The photo on the right is from Spring 2013 (60 pounds later, a size 14 to a size 4).




I have been raw\vegetarian\vegan at different points in time. Today, I stick with what feels good. That is raw when I can, vegan 95% of the time, and the occasional piece of fish & fresh eggs from a neighbor when I do eat them. I recently eliminated gluten & dairy from my diet & I found my health to improve even more, so that is what I am sticking to. You'll find various kinds of recipes that include all of those types of eating habits here. These recipes can always be modified to fit your needs & I will always try to post those as well.

I keep a regiment of yoga (Bikram, hatha, yin, you name it, I love it), kickboxing, running, spinning & generally keeping myself moving almost every day of the week, even if this means just getting outside for an hour to walk the dog. I have run many half marathons, my goal this year is to run a full marathon (in the fall). I'm an art teacher by day, but a healthy cooking & baking enthusiast by night!
